Walkers and runners will enjoy the 26.2 and 13.1-mile course as it winds through breathtaking ocean scenery. The courses are situated in one of the most scenic areas on the Oregon coast, just two miles in runners will pass through the beautiful Bastendorff Beach.
A few miles more participants will find themselves running through Sunset Bay State Park featuring a beautiful sandy beach protected by its famous towering crescent sea cliffs. The out and back run turns around at the Cape Arago point also known as “God’s Country” Cape Arago has the largest herds of seals and sea lions on the Oregon Coast as well as magnificent vantage points.
As you wipe the sweat from your brow make sure you take a moment to soak in the beautiful scenery and listen for the sea lions bark. They will be cheering you on! There is a 5.5-hour time limit for both walkers and runners.
